PREPARING FOR YOUR SESSION
What To Wear
Please coordinate your outfits! I recommend you choose colors that work well together, but aren’t the same. You can even mix and match minimal prints with solids. The key is to make sure the colors you choose go well together. If you're unsure what colors to wear, don't hesitate to ask me! Everyone’s preferences are different, but I personally like whites, creams, blues and blush mixed with other neutrals. You can even send me a picture of your outfits beforehand so I can offer suggestions.
What Not To Wear
You'll want to avoid dark colors, large patterns or visible logos. This tends to be distracting and dates the images quickly. Don't wear very short skirts or dresses. Don't wear neon or bright colors. Don't have your cell phone or keys in your pockets. Don’t wear your Apple Watch or bulky jewelry that doesn't complete your look. Don’t try outfits on for the first time the day of your shoot. Don't wear anything that fits poorly. I recommend to be yourself and be comfortable, especially your shoes!

Newborn Sessions
Preparing your home for a newborn session is so important! A typical session includes taking photos in your bedroom and the nursery. Please make sure all spaces are picked up, organized & exactly how you want them to be photographed. Declutter! Doing this ahead of time means more time for taking photos. I also recommend that you begin feeding baby 20-30 minutes before my arrival, and make sure your home is warm but comfortable temperature. I provide a baby basket, white swaddle and diaper cover.
Other Tips & Tricks
• Prepare your kids for the session by getting them excited, I always make them feel like super stars!
• Make sure everyone is well fed and rested
• Bring their favorite snacks
• Wear weather appropriate clothing
• Always have back up clothes for kids
• Plan ahead for route and drive time
• You can bring family activities like sports or blowing bubbles for photos
• Double check wardrobe, hair and makeup
• Be comfortable and enjoy your time together
• Family pets are always allowed!
